Facilities

Red Barn Cottage has a large open-space kitchen/dining/living area downstairs, as well as a fully kitted-out utility room and cloakroom. The kitchen has been newly fitted out with handmade furniture and Neff oven and hob.

Upstairs are two large bedrooms (one king size double, one twin) and a bathroom (also recently refitted) with bath and shower. Facilities provided at Red Barn Cottage include

General information

Red Barn Cottage is a no smoking property.

There is ample parking on site for guests’ cars

Children

Children are welcome at Red Barn Cottage. One of the bedrooms has two single beds, and a travel cot and high chair for younger children are available on request. There are toys and games in the living toom, and the Internet TV provides access to various children’s channels.

Dogs

Dogs are also welcome at Red Barn Cottage. If you use a dog crate, let us know as we have several available, and can save you the trouble of transporting one with all the rest of your holiday gear. We also can offer a dog sitting service at a nominal charge, if you want to go out to somewhere that doesn’t allow dogs (we do ask that dogs are not left unattended in the cottage).

Walkers

There are numerous footpaths in the local area and several pubs within walking distance. There are also numerous walks in a variety of landscapes such as heaths and beaches within easy reach of Kettleburgh, along with long distance walks such as the Suffolk Coastal Path, the Sandlings Walk, and the Orwell and Stour Path. Whilst many of the beaches at places like Aldeburgh and Southwold are dog-free from May to September, there are beaches at Dunwich and Sizewell which are dog-friendly all year round, as well as more remote parts of the beaches in seaside towns.

Cyclists

Red Barn Cottage is on Suffolk Cycle Route 1 and close to a number of other routes. The annual Dunwich Dynamo ride passes right in front of the cottage. We provide lockable storage for bikes if required.
